As I explained yesterday, I want to show different ways you can wear these polishes in addition to providing swatches. Part of my reason for doing it this way is because of my own interests, but mainly because I wanted to do something different than other swatches I've seen for this collection.

Bling it On: This is a lavender/periwinkle glitter with black "bitz 'n pieces." For this one I did a tape mani layering it over China Glaze Pelican Grey. If you are interested in how to do tape manis, I did a post on my Tumblr a few months ago outlining how I do them, and some tips to prevent damaging the bottom layer of polish. Glitz 'n Pieces: This is a silver glitter with black "bitz 'n pieces." For this I did a sponged glitter gradient over China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic, a nice hot pink that dries to almost a squishy jelly finish. I know I've been doing a lot of sponged glitter tips lately, so sorry for showing this technique again. But it is a really good way to wear these polishes, even with the large hexes and bar glitter. For this mani, I dabbed a bit of polish on my tips, then used a sponge to pick up some of the glitter and dab it in other spots. I hope that makes sense. I really love the combination of black, silver, and hot pink on this one, and I've been meaning to do something like this for awhile.

ReplyDeleteThanks Mette! As I said in my latest post, you probably don't need all six. I just thought it would be fun for the blog to review an entire collection. But they are very similar, so even just one or two in your favourite colours would be nice to have. I'm glad you enjoyed these! :)
